Chausseestraße 56

Chausseestraße 56

The 100 m² flat in Berlin Mitte underwent a comprehensive renovation, during which several major alterations were carried out. One particularly challenging aspect was the merging of the originally narrow kitchen with the living room to create an open and spacious eat-in kitchen. Official authorisation was required for this intervention in the structural fabric, which also included a careful structural inspection to ensure the stability of the building.

In addition to the remodelling of the living areas, the room previously used as a storage room was converted into a separate guest WC, which significantly increased the functionality of the flat. The existing bathroom was also given a modern update and a shower was added to meet the residents’ requirements for comfort and flexibility. Despite the extensive measures, the refurbishment took place within a tight time frame and was completed on schedule in just eight weeks.
